What is a co-operative (co-op)?
A co-op is simply a business that is a managed by a group of individuals. Studio on 6th is staffed by the artists who produce the art we sell.
Does an artist have to be there to buy a piece from them?
Absolutely not! At our most basic level, we’re a retail establishment. You’re free to purchase any piece in the store at any time that we’re open!
I’m an artist, and would like to have my works featured at Studio on 6th. What do I do?
First off, we’d like to say thank you! Local artists being willing to be a part of our co-op is the life blood of our business. The best way to get started is to talk to our owner, Alicia.
How much does it cost to be a part of Studio on 6th?
Space is leased in units for a low monthly fee to artists. Each artist can choose the number of units they’d like to lease and may display their works for sale in that space for the duration of their lease agreement. Artists receive 100% of the sales for their art.
Who sets the prices?
Artists set the prices for their own works at Studio on 6th.
